O'Hara Lane Restoration
Crescent Beach, BC

About this project
This Crescent Beach character home required a complete interior gut — structure to finishes. The scope included reframing load-bearing walls, full mechanical replacement (electrical, plumbing, HVAC), building envelope upgrades, and a ground-up interior rebuild that preserved the home's coastal character while bringing it to current code.
Key features include custom cedar paneling and trim throughout, a rebuilt stone fireplace with reclaimed timber mantel, a custom cedar slat staircase with open railing, a wet bar with white shaker cabinetry and open shelving, and a primary bathroom with wave-pattern tile and frameless glass shower.
The project required careful sequencing around the existing stone chimney structure and ocean-facing window openings, with particular attention to moisture management on the exposed west face.
